What I collect, and why
- The contact form — your name, email address, telephone number if you give one, and whatever you write in the message. Used only to answer you and to arrange a class, a session or a place on a workshop. The basis for this is that you asked me to get in touch, and my legitimate interest in replying to you.
- The newsletter — your name and email address, kept only if you ticked the newsletter box. The basis for this is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Yoga therapy intake — health information is never collected through the website form. When you come for yoga therapy we go through your health history in the intake, with your explicit permission, and those notes are kept separately.
Who else sees it
The website runs on [Wix] and the form messages arrive in my email inbox at [email provider]. Newsletters are sent with [newsletter tool]. These companies process the details on my instructions only. Nothing is sold, and nothing is passed on for anyone else’s marketing.
How long it is kept
Enquiries are kept for [e.g. two years] after our last contact. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe, and removed from the mailing list after that. Bookkeeping records are kept for seven years, because Dutch tax law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you what I hold, correct it, delete it, limit what I do with it, or send it to you in a portable file. You can object to my using it, and you can withdraw your consent for the newsletter at any time — every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and withdrawing does not make anything that happened before it unlawful. If you think I am handling your details badly, you are entitled to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
